Do not apply paint samples directly to your walls. It will reduce the wall texture and be visible after you paint. Any reputable paint store will gladly make you an 8.5 X 11 "brush out" with a purchase. This way you can simply tape the samples to your walls and move them around your home to view in different lighting.
